Infrared Sauna provides Health Benefits

The traditional sauna uses the principle of Convection Heat which heats the air inside the sauna cabin just like the way an oven works. As a result, the air temperatures can be very high and feel oppressive or overwhelming. The user is typically neither comfortable nor fully relaxed. This heating method does not soak into the human body but only heats the surface of the body, including the eyes and insides of the nose. This can be harmful to these delicate areas.

InfraRed vs Conventional Saunas

In comparison, the Infrared Sauna uses the principal of Radiant Heat. This method transfers the heat as radiant energy from the heat source to a specific object, in this case, the human body. Through a process of Resonant Absorption, (the body vibrates at the same frequency as the infrared light waves which excites the body at a cellular level) numerous physical and chemical changes occur which are responsible for improved health and wellness.

This tuned infrared light energy penetrates into the body up to half a centimetre below the skin. This is then converted into heat energy, literally heating the body from the inside out. This also means that the air inside the cabin is not heated as high as the traditional sauna cabin, resulting in a more comfortable and relaxing experience.

The body also reacts by perspiring up to 3 to 4 times more than it does in the traditional sauna. This leads to detoxification and regular sessions also grant relief from all kinds of complaints and improve general health.

Installation and Running Costs for an Infrared Sauna

The Infrared Sauna Cabins can be easily installed, are compact and stylish to suit any interior. A normal power supply with a normal fuse is used so nothing needs to be specially installed for use. In fact, the low power (from 1200 watts) makes this practical and keeps the energy usage down (approx. 45 cents per hour).

Sauna King Infrared Cabins come in a flat packed kit, with easy instructions and all the hardware required to assemble in just a few hours. Or, we can install it for you (in most areas) if you don’t have the time. You can also easily dismantle and move the cabin without a problem.

Maintenance is also hassle-free, just clean the bench and interior with a damp sponge occasionally.

Cabins can come with at least one rounded top bench, ventilation, a reading lamp, cup holders, colour mood lighting, a digital controller and an internal safety device.
